2. Master's Degree Santa Casa Medical School, 1991, PhD Santa Casa Medical School 1996

3. Full Professor of Surgery and Head of Gastroesophageal and Bariatric Surgical Division, Department of Surgery at Santa Casa Hospital and Medical School.

4. President of the Brazilian College of Digestive Surgery.

5. Member of the following Institutions:

- Founder, former president, scientific director and present Council Member of The Brazilian Gastric Cancer Association.
- Former Council member and auditor at The International Gastric Cancer Association.
- Emeritus member - Academia de Medicina de São Paulo (Medical Academy,i of São Paulo)
